Filing Your Intra-EC Declaration on the Movement of Goods ("déclaration d’échange de biens" or "DEB")
If you are engaged in intra-EC trade, you are required to file with Customs, on a monthly basis, an Intra-EC declaration on the movement of goods (DEB). File it electronically!
Using your own private computerized system
Thanks to a specific software (IDEP/CN8), you will be able to file electronically with Customs your monthly Intra-EC declaration.
This software will allow you, in particular:
- to retrieve the required data out of your own databases;
- to access directly the nomenclature and determine the codification number of your product;
- to proceed with an automated validation of all the particulars of the declaration;
- to file your DEB with Customs using a simple telephone line and a modem.
The list of software providers under contract with Customs is available at the local Customs Districts, the Regional Statistics Processing Centers ("CISD"), the National Foreign Trade Statistics Service ("DNSCE"), Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the French Center for External Trade ("CFCE"), SIMPROFRANCE and ODASCE (see below).
Filing your DEB through the "Minitel"
You may file your Intra-CE declaration from your "Minitel" terminal, provided you have been issued withan individual password by the DNSCE. The password is issued free, on request.
