ASSISTANT DEFENSE COOPERATION ATTACHÉ
for finance and contracts

The Assistant Defense Cooperation Attaché for finance and contracts heads the Budget and administrative support group. This department supports the DGA members in the United States including the ODC, liaison officers and exchange personnels. It also supports the day to day operations of the Office and the supply of appropriate means At last, it proceeds with bills settlement for the Office expenditures and for Defense Equipment contracting.
The department is set up in two areas:


  • The «Procurement & Contracting» group

    This group, headed by a Major, Assistant Defense Cooperation Attaché for Procurement:

    - on behalf of the DGA or the french armed forces, negociates and concludes the purchases, in the United-States, of equipments and provisions of services ;
    - follows through the course of signed contracts according to the FMS «foreign military sales» procedure .
    - watches the fulfil of commitments on both parts including payments and the shipping of equipments to final destination.

  • The "Administration - Finances" office
    It has also three main duties :

    - The administration and management of the DGA's task force in the United-States, members of the ODCA, liaison officers and trainees.
    - Ensuring the smooth running of the service and put means at the ODCA's disposal;
    - The settlement and payment of the bills for the ODCA, the acquistions contracts and for the running costs.
