The Assistant Defense Cooperation Attaché for Aeronautical systems is responsible for promoting the defense cooperation between France and the United States in the area of acquisition of aeronautical systems and related systems. That responsability encompass :

supporting existing cooperative activities, analysis of the sector (budget, organizations, policies, concepts and technology trends , programs, defense contract opportunities,...), working as a liaison between French and American authorities to increase mutual understanding and foster new cooperative opportunities, developping contacts with the defense community to increase information and understanding, contributing to advance cooperation structure and scope, including industrial cooperation and new cooperative frameworks.
